Understanding the daunting statistics of professional athletes going broke, TBH Sports takes a different approach focusing on educating our clients to establish strong financial behaviors and disciplines. Our intimate service model, comprehensive planning and unbiased investment management has made us a unique firm in the sports industry.
Brandon Williams brings over eight years of experience in operations and relationship management within the sports industry. He joined the TBH family in 2010 with his heart set on developing a successful sports division that not only protect the assets of professional athletes, but one that helps to secure their financial legacy.
If there is one word outside of TBH Sports’ proven track record that has contributed to the division’s overall success, it would be “trust”. Williams is able to use his personal and professional experience to relate to the needs of his clients beyond their professions. As a four-year letterman in college football, three-year Ohio Valley Conference Academic All-American and two-year operations and player development intern with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, Williams is able to serve as a multifaceted to TBH Sports’ clients. In 2015, Williams spearheaded TBH Sports’ inaugural Beyond the Game Athlete Summit, in Atlanta GA – hosting over 15 professional athletes in a two-day experience fused with financial education, networking opportunities and fun.
Although Williams is typically traveling across the country meeting with prospects or handling the ever-so-changing needs of his clients, he still manages to maintain a healthy work-life balance. In his spare time, Williams enjoys socializing with friends and family, bowling, talking sports, and attending sporting events. However, there is nothing he enjoys more than spending time with his daughter Caira Janae Williams. Brandon Williams is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Performance and Sports Science from Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts in Sports Administration. Williams currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
Phil Reynolds, CFP
Partner/ Financial Advisor
Growing up in Nashville, Phil always found enjoyment in the interactions with people while helping others in the community. After getting his degree from College of Charleston, he worked in multiple industries hoping to find his long term professional passion. He worked in the political world of Washington, DC after school but knew his heart was always back home in Nashville.
His parents ingrained a strong work ethic while maintaining his integrity. Family is extremely important to Phil, which explains his focus on helping families achieve their long-term financial goals and planning for both the expected and unexpected events in life.
Phil has experienced life’s unpredicted turns first hand as his mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at age 54. He has helped his family plan for the long-term financial obligations associated with this disease and has used this experience to ensure every family he works with is prepared financially for the obstacles life can present.
Phil obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation while working for a global financial institution, a distinction very few financial professionals hold. He used his training and expertise from this designation to develop and continually improve a well-rounded client service model. This process driven approach allows Phil to ensure he delivers on the promises he makes to his clients and completely understands the goals of each family.
In 2009, Phil decided to join TBH based on the service philosophy and approach to managing client’s assets. The personal approach to client relationships continues to be a pivotal part of his practice today. As a partner, he has helped grow TBH to be a respected Registered Investment Advisory firm in the Southeast.
Phil teamed up with Brandon Williams to develop TBH Sports specifically focusing on the complex financial needs of professional athletes and coaches. They always start with educating their clients while developing a complete financial plan to ensure their clients can achieve their long term goals well beyond their professional careers.
Phil lives in Brentwood with his wife Kelly and three beautiful daughters, Elizabeth, Madeline and Sydney. He is the Board Chair for Christian Community Services, Inc. and supports other organizations like Barefoot Republic and Alzheimer’s Association.
